Our story, mission, and the people behind our community
PotteryKing was founded in 2010 by a group of passionate pottery artists who wanted to create a community space where both beginners and experienced potters could gather, learn, and create beautiful pieces together.
What started as a small studio with just a few wheels and kilns has grown into a thriving community center that offers not only pottery classes but also cooking workshops, events, and a membership program that connects creative individuals from all walks of life.
Our journey hasn't always been smooth – we've had our share of collapsed clay structures and overbaked cookies – but through it all, we've stayed true to our mission of fostering creativity, community, and craftsmanship.
PotteryKing founded by three friends in a small rented studio space.
Expanded to a larger location and added five more pottery wheels.
Introduced cooking classes to complement our pottery offerings.
Launched our membership program to create a sustainable community.
Added online classes and workshops during the pandemic.
Celebrating 15 years with our biggest studio yet and a thriving community of over 500 members!
At PotteryKing, our mission is to provide an inclusive, creative environment where people can explore the joy of making things with their hands. We believe that creativity is a fundamental human need, and that everyone deserves access to high-quality instruction, tools, and community support to develop their skills.
We are committed to:
Whether you're a complete beginner picking up clay for the first time or an experienced potter looking to refine your technique, our doors are open to you.
